Signs of ageing
Ageing is a natural process. However, premature ageing of the skin can cause concern for younger individuals. The reasons for this cannot be attributed to just one factor; with environmental, hormonal and biological factors all playing a role. With that said, certain factors are more likely to cause premature ageing than others. These include: sun exposure, stress, lack of sleep, smoking, alcohol & work patterns.
Signs of ageing, include volume loss, pigmentation, age spots, open pores, lines & wrinkles, puffy eyes, sagging skin & dull skin, there are some lifestyle changes and treatments that can be used to help prevent and slow premature signs of ageing. Wearing SPF daily is the easiest, cheapest and most effective method to slow down the signs of ageing.
How you approach these treatments is always very personal. Whilst some clients may ‘jump’ straight into injectables, others may opt for less invasive options. People age very differently and at different rates. It will also depend on how you use your facial muscles, ie some people naturally frown a lot whilst talking, and others may crease their eyes up more when smiling. Looking at parents is a good indicator of how you will age.
