When booking an appointment at The Cotswold Skin Clinic you will agree to our Terms & Conditions - Please read the following carefully.

Appointments & cancellations

  • Consultations are always needed for anti-wrinkle treatment and generally advised for all clients.

  • If you wish to book an appointment for treatment then it will be necessary to register on the booking platform. You will be required to authorise full payment for the procedure upon making a booking, though funds will not leave your account until after the treatment has taken place.

  • Payment is made through the payment service provider, Stripe. The option to pay cash is available.

  • Please take care when booking and carefully check the time and date to make sure that the information is correct.

  • Out of respect for the team and our clients, we ask that you give a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel your appointment. Cancellation charges apply: 50% charge if cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment, 100% charge for no shows.

  • Cancellations made before the 48 hour notice period will not be charged.

  • If you have a history of lateness, no-shows, cancellations, or continual booking changes, we reserve the right to cancel any future appointments with you.

follow-ups

  • Botox®- If any further treatment is required at follow up there is no charge.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure a follow-up is possible within 2-3 weeks of the initial treatment. Please voice any concerns about availability as soon as possible to avoid being too late for a follow-up to take place.

Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling can be done with at least 48 hours notice free of charge.

  • Rescheduling must be done via the booking system and not via email/IG/whats app.

Lateness

  • Running late puts pressure on the daily schedule. Please notify me as soon as possible to see if I can accommodate you. If your appointment needs to be rescheduled due to your lateness it will be recognised as a no-show, the following terms apply

  • If the time left is sufficient to go ahead then the appointment can continue as before without charges.

  • If not enough time remains to do the treatment I reserve the right to charge the treatment cost as per the cancellation policy or restrict your treatment time to stay within your booking slot. I will not run late for the next client.

additional info

  • Any persons under the age of 16 will not routinely be allowed in the clinic. Please email beforehand to check suitability.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to let us know of any change in contact details or in letting us know alternative ways to contact.

Covid/vaccines

  • All clients must notify us immediately if at any time prior to their appointment (at least 2 weeks) they begin to feel unwell or display any COVID-19 symptoms. Normal cancellation/rescheduling terms & conditions apply. You must be free from any symptoms and at least 2-4 weeks respectively once recovering before returning for treatment.

  • You must leave at least 2 weeks either side of any vaccine or booster. (This includes flu vaccines). It is your responsibility to ensure these do not clash and the same rescheduling terms and conditions apply. 

Online Skin Consultations

  • There is no guarantee that the recommendations and regime you receive will provide 100% satisfaction. Skin conditions can be complex and could require ongoing treatment.

  • All recommendations are based on the information provided to us during the online skin consultation and the regime recommendation provided is based on the most suitable products available at the time.

  • I encourage patch testing ahead of using any new products being adopted to establish if an allergic reaction is likely.

Pre/post-treatment information

BOTOX

To Help Prevent Bruising: AVOID Blood thinning over-the-counter medication such as Aspirin and Ibuprofen. Also avoid herbal supplements, such as Garlic, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and Omega-3 capsules. Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours before your treatment to avoid extra bruising. Avoid exercise a few hours before your appointment.

For 24 hours after your treatment avoid: exercise (everything apart from a routine walk), saunas, steam rooms, alcohol, swimming, hot showers/baths. Do not lay flat for 2-4 hours, avoid wearing hats or helmets of any kind.

For 2 weeks after your treatment avoid any other facial treatments. the only exception to this is LED therapy,

Do not book for Botulinum Toxin if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Ensure there is a 12-week minimum between toxin treatments, or I will be unable to treat and cancellation charges will apply.

You MUST have had a face-to-face consultation before the first treatments.

SKIN BOOSTERS

To Help Prevent Bruising: AVOID blood-thinning medication for 7 days prior to treatment as they may increase your risk of bruising. This includes; aspirin and ibuprofen (if any medication has been prescribed, check with your doctor first before stopping). Avoid herbal supplements such as garlic, vitamin E, ginko biloba, St. John’s Wort and omega-3 capsules. Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before the procedure.

For 24 hours after your treatment avoid: exercise (everything apart from a routine walk), saunas, steam rooms, alcohol, swimming, hot showers/baths.

Ensure you have had something substantial to eat before your appointment to decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your treatment.

PEELS/micro needling

Discontinue the use of tanning beds at least two weeks prior to a chemical peel. In fact, we advise that you stop using tanning beds altogether because they increase your risk of skin cancer and accelerate visible signs of aging.

Avoid extensive sun exposure, especially in the 10 days prior to your scheduled chemical peel.

No facial waxing, exfoliation, peels, retinol, AHA/BHA, laser hair removal (to the area treated) products for 5-7 days prior to treatment.

Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily (at least SPF 30 or higher) and avoid the gym 24 hours prior to a chemical peel.

Do not use aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatories for 2-3 days before treatment.

  • We are required by law to document what personal information we keep for all clients. At the time of booking your appointment, your full name and contact details will be taken.  At your appointment, further contact details, medical history, and consent will be recorded as required by law.

  • These records are kept private and confidential. You have the right to request to see your forms at any time.

  • We do not send marketing emails or letters however we aim to adhere to the GDPR rules and changes. We do not pass on any information to any other third parties or use the information for any other way other than relating to your cosmetic treatments.

  • We legally have to keep your information (address, contact details, what treatment you had on what date, and also photographs for legal reasons) for 7 years. Failure to do this results in a void in insurance.
